Welcome to the John 3:16 Center
C.A.R.E. / Child Abuse Resource and Education is an interdenominational Christian, board directed, 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, founded in 1998. As the organization grew, the need for its own facility became apparent.
Through the support of many donors and volunteers, The John 3:16 Center was built in 2004 and C.A.R.E. was able to expand its program offerings. Current programs include: GED classes, Camp J316 (a free summer day camp), Parenting Classes, an Emergency Food Pantry, School Supply/Uniform Drive, Christmas Outreach, Recreational Activities, Wired for Success After-School Program, and Classes on Recognizing and Responding to Child Abuse and Neglect.
C.A.R.E. serves families in Halifax, Warren, and Northampton counties in North Carolina and welcomes the involvement of volunteers in its programs. All services are offered in a safe, structured, and faith-based environment. While we welcome people from all backgrounds to register and participate, we share our faith openly and include Bible-based devotions in many of our programs.
The board and staff of C.A.R.E. continue to examine and evaluate the needs of children and families within the community to ensure that the organization continues to be an effective resource for family growth and stability.
GIVE 3:16 (March 16)
Every year on March 16th individuals and organizations participate in The John 3:16 Movement. The movement is a challenge created by Max Lucado, author of 3:16: The Numbers of Hope. Every believer, new or seasoned is challenged to share what the verse John 3:16 means to them either through in person conversations, e-mail or on social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
As part of this movement we are asking for prayers for The John 3:16 Center as we work to show God’s love through our programs and outreach ministries. We would also ask, if you feel led, to give $3.16, $31.60, or $316.00 in addition to letting us know what the verse means to you on or before March 16 . You can send what the verse means to you and mail to The John 3:16 Center at PO Box 1541, Littleton, NC 27850 or email Megan Chambers at firstname.lastname@example.org
GROW OUTSIDE: International Day of Happiness Celebration (Monday, March 20)

Pinwheel Planting (Friday, April 7)
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and we would like to invite all community leaders, civic groups and residents in Halifax, Warren and Northampton County to join us on April 7 for a special planting of the Pinwheels in downtown Littleton at the American Legion Flag Post.
Why Pinwheels? In 2008, Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the pinwheel as the national symbol for child abuse prevention through Pinwheels for Prevention. The whimsical character of the pinwheel acts as a reminder that every child deserves a happy, healthy childhood.
Unable to attend but want to participate? Sponsor a Pinwheel for just $3.00 and have you, your child or your grandchild’s name planted in your honor. Thank you for helping us bring happy childhoods to children near you!
Run the River 5K (Saturday, April 8)
